The successful candidate will work with the Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team providing technical support on environmental, health and safety management systems and will be part of Corporate EHS function.
Develop and maintain environmental, health & safety programmes to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and Corporate technical standards and best practices.
Lead and support existing safety programmes to include but not limited to: chemical management (REACH, CLP), ergonomics and machine safety.
Enhance environmental management programmes in preparation for IPC licencing requirements and lead environmental initiatives such as energy reduction and waste management.
Build relationships across the site to ensure compliance and enhancement of the safety culture. Play an important role in promoting and driving a pro-active health & safety culture.
Arrange, support and chair meetings and forums to drive an enhanced performance with a particular focus on leading EHS indicators. Identify, report and trend EHS metrics through an internal tier board reporting structure.
Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programmes to all levels within the organization.
Support the EHS accident and incident management process on site in accordance with legal, OSHA and corporate requirements. (Incl. investigation, root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action management)
Coordinate and conduct internal EHS auditing and inspection.
Ensure microLIQUID’s site access control and business activities coordination.
Support Quality activities according to Quality Management System and ISO13485 requirements: performing and managing microLIQUID’s site laboratories and cleanroom inductions and promoting the improvement and compliance with laboratory entry protocols and good practices, working together with maintenance technicians, laboratories and cleanroom coordinators in the review and approval of machinery and chemicals Pre-purchase risk assessments and safety procedures, Ensure that the people entering laboratories and cleanroom comply the safety and clothing regulations
Degree in technical field.
Master degree in EHS, including at least two fields of occupational risk.
Environment related Qualification, preferred.
6+ years’ experience in a similar position within manufacturing, preferably in the medical device industry or other similar regulated manufacturing international industry.
A thorough knowledge of EHS legislation.
Thorough knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety legislation and experience in environment management systems.
Self-motivated, results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives.
Proven ability to influence safety culture.
Fluent in English (B2 level or higher).
Proven team player. Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills, including proficiency in using common word processing software, excel, database applications, presentation software, and email.
We are looking for an engineer who is highly motivated to work with the Microliquid team to develop and validate new microfluidics-based products for the IVD industry. You must be willing to develop a strong technical background in the field of Microfluidics and Biological applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility would be building up test systems and products from the ground up to early manufacturing stage. It is essential that you are a hands-on person with excellent engineering skills and a personal drive to achieve project goal.
The main functions of the position are:
Design, characterization, and testing of complex microfluidic devices integrating microchannels, chambers, mixers, filters, on-chip valves or other components under the lead microfluidic engineer supervision
Maintain expert knowledge of state-of-the-art microfluidic designs, features, fabrication processes, and device architectures
Plan, carry out and analyze experiments to demonstrate feasibility of new, customized microfluidic concepts (and troubleshoot difficult problems with existing ones) to efficiently move products through the development pipeline
Engage and work collaboratively within the Microfluidic team and other functional teams (e.g., Mechanical engineering, Process development, Bioscience) to evaluate technical concepts and contribute to technical decisions to identify realistic and innovative solutions based on client requirements
Maintain rigorous records capturing experimental results, design decisions, design concepts, and other similar technical information complying with microLIQUID quality standards (ISO13485)
Support microfluidic lab organization and equipment maintenance
Engineering bachelor or master degree
0 to 3 years of experience designing self-contained microfluidic systems integrating microchannels, chambers, mixers, filters, flow control valves or other components and familiar with microfluidics manufacturing technologies
Hands-on experience with design of self-contained microfluidic systems integrating microchannels, chambers, mixers, filters, flow control valves or other components.
Preferred experience in microfluidic packaging and integration solutions for fluidic interfaces, reagent storage and dispensing
Experience with fluidic, mechanical, and electrical instrumentation
Preferred experience with Solid Works or other equivalent CAD packages
Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals while working across departments is required.
We are looking for a Production Technician to work in our clean room facility. You will report to the Head of engineering and Senior engineers and work in cross-functional teams. You will assist in the manufacture of components and products, including labelling and product assembly, all according to the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the Quality Management System (QMS).
